窓の取り方で、設計の良し悪しが現れます。土間のピクチャーウインドウ、食堂から中庭風デッキを望むFIX、そして浴室から見える坪庭が、和室からも眺められるようにと設けられたコーナー地窓など、 景色を切り取り、抑制した光を採り入た設計が、素晴らしいものでした。
地窓が生かされた床の間も、行灯のような光効果に、しつらえが浮びあがっています。
そして、欄間をご覧下さい。杉板に開けた穴からの光が、蛍の舞いをイメージした“蛍欄間”！
古材を生かし、和の良さとモダンが融合した現代風民家は、住まう人の想いやセンスを映し出して、また次世代へと住み継がれていくのでしょうね。
　

さて、そもそもの訪問きっかけは、着物の着こなしがとっても粋なＦさんでしたから、住いウォッチングの後は着物ウォッチングです。 この日も有松絞りの着物に檜皮色の博多帯を、涼やかにをお召しになっていました。
Ｆさんは、着物の仕立を長年されていて、数年前から古着を使っての創作着物に取り組みはじめたとか。 “いいものを後世に伝えていく”・・・古着を再生していく面白みというのは、どこか古民家再生にも通じるものがあるように思います。
下の写真は、秋の企画展用の男物塩沢紬で、黒地に白い十字絣模様に八掛け等のコーディネートが素適で、しっかりキープさせていただきました。
